Wrist AI 1.6.0 brings a complete touchscreen experience to Pebble Time 2.
Double-tap Wi to talk. Swipe left for Menu, right for ToDo & Notes, and use edge swipes to return. Lists now support direct touch scrolling and row selection, while physical buttons still work everywhere.
The Home, Menu and ToDo & Notes screens have been redesigned as a unified Wrist AI card interface. Replies add touch TTS controls, double-tap continuation, and gesture-based history: pull down at the top to see the previous answer, then push up from the bottom to return.
This release also improves multi-event Timeline creation, mixed ToDo and Timeline commands, all-day events, dictation tolerance, TTS startup and touch feedback.
Fixed all-day Timeline events so they display correctly as “All Day” instead of a 23:59 event. Improved voice-created ToDos and Notes: named items are now saved reliably even when dictation varies between similar Chinese terms or the AI misses the item title.
Improved reliability for natural-language ToDo, Notes, Memory, and Timeline actions. Fixed sleep analysis mismatch with Pebble Health, improved all-day Timeline visibility, strengthened English-language handling, and added safer Timeline-linked Note updates. Also includes full pre-release audit fixes and stability improvements.
Command Robustness Improvement
Wrist AI 1.5 turns your Pebble into a far deeper personal assistant.
Create reminders, Timeline events and multiple ToDos through natural conversation. Organize them in ToDo & Notes, sync with Todoist, or return to the conversation that created them. Wrist AI now has editable long-term Memory, exact sleep intervals, multi-day health analysis and practical suggestions.
The watch experience has been rebuilt with configurable themes, clearer Pebble-style menus, Dictation review and re-recording, improved Chinese handling, safer navigation and an optional Controls tutorial.
Pebble Time 2 TTS now supports high-quality 16 kHz playback with clearer audio, smoother streaming and safer volume control. Experimental Pebble 2 Duo TTS is included.
Your Pebble will be better with Wrist AI !!
Health intelligence
Adds optional 1, 3 or 7-day health context covering steps, activity,
distance, calories, heart rate, sleep and deep sleep.
Sends exact sleep and deep-sleep intervals, not aggregate minutes alone.
Correctly treats the latest noon-to-noon sleep record as the latest sleep,
while avoiding invalid comparisons between incomplete current-day activity
and complete historical days.
Health prompts now ask for trends, anomalies and practical suggestions rather
than a raw-number recap.
Voice, language and replies
Optional launch Dictation for deliberate Quick Launch and Timeline-action
entry points.
Adds a Dictation review page: SELECT sends, DOWN re-records and BACK cancels.
Automatically retries once when a system notification interrupts Dictation.
Normalizes supported Traditional Chinese Dictation/model text to Simplified
Chinese before titles, display, storage, Timeline parsing and TTS.
Limits watch-oriented model replies and strips links, source URLs and web
citations that are not useful on a watch or in spoken output.
Reworks Config conversation export using explicit UTF-8 bytes, BOM and an
old-WebView fallback.
Long-term Memory
Adds a private phone-side Memory.md.
The model may add, update and remove controlled memory entries containing
stable preferences and useful personal context.
Explicit stable facts such as “remember my birth date” are routed exclusively
to Memory and cannot be misclassified as a Note/TODO.
A dedicated Memory planner and deterministic birth-date fallback recover when
the main model omits or damages its hidden memory command.
Config can display and edit the complete Markdown document with format,
sensitive-data, item-count and byte-size validation.
Secrets, credentials and exact health samples are excluded.
Timeline, reminders and launch actions
Creates local Pebble Timeline pins through natural language.
Understands ordinary phrases such as “remind me in five minutes” without
requiring the user to say “Timeline”.
Supports relative times, exact times, date-only all-day events and up to five
events in one request.
Distinguishes a timed reminder from a true all-day event.
Wrist AI-created pins can be updated or deleted from linked ToDo & Notes.
Adds optional strong local reminders using persistent watch Wakeups and a
longer vibration pattern.
Timeline actions can reopen Wrist AI with launch context and restore the
originating conversation through its saved chat_id.
ToDo & Notes
Adds a watch-native ToDo & Notes area for untimed tasks, notes and linked
Timeline events.
A single request can create up to five items.
Items retain their originating conversation and can reopen it from the watch.
Supports Complete, Reopen and Delete with durable deferred synchronization.
Completed items move to a separate Archive entrance; the latest 50 are kept.
Timeline rows are clearly labelled and show local time or All day.
Config can edit titles/content, complete, reopen and delete local items.
Todoist two-way sync
Adds optional direct Todoist synchronization without a Wrist AI server.
Syncs untimed ToDos and timed Timeline-linked events.
Imports Todoist creation, edits, completion, reopening, due-time changes and
deletion back into Wrist AI.
Uses stable task mappings, incremental sync tokens and a durable offline
mutation queue.
Syncs on launch, after local changes and every five minutes while Wrist AI
remains open.
Optional 30-minute, hourly or three-hour watch Wakeups provide background
synchronization.
Syncing Todoist, Synced Todoist, offline and failure states appear below
the conversation title. If sync is enabled without a token, the watch shows
Set up Todoist; disabled users see no prompt.
TTS and speaker watches
Adds conservative experimental TTS support for Pebble 2 Duo.
Pebble Time 2 high-quality mode uses 16 kHz ÎĽ-law transport decoded to native
16-bit speaker output.
Adds DC removal, a smoothed noise gate, envelope compression, gentle
high-frequency smoothing, peak limiting and sentence-boundary de-clicking.
Larger AppMessage packets and guarded flow control improve playback when the
iPhone Pebble app is backgrounded.
Keeps the watch menu at 10–100% while capping hardware output at 50% to reduce
high-volume clipping.
Config can select high-quality or standard audio and set speaking rate.
SELECT stops playback; scrolling remains available without competing
animations.
Watch UI and Config
Adds Random, Orange, Violet, Indigo, Cobalt, Oxford Blue, Red and Deep Gray
themes.
Preserves a light reply page while using compact themed headers and
white-on-theme menu selection for reliable contrast.
Improves Chinese reply sizing and header alignment.
Adds an on-watch Controls tutorial for short/long button presses. It can be
removed from the UP menu in Config after onboarding.
DOWN opens ToDo & Notes; UP keeps conversations, models, Web Search, volume
and settings together.
BACK from a conversation opened through the UP menu returns to that menu.
Config is reorganized into clearer sections with Wrist AI orange/purple
styling and bounded data payloads.
Reliability and compatibility
Preserves the single-file PebbleKit JS bundle required by iOS Core Devices.
Fixes watch crashes around Note Complete/Reopen/Delete, Archive reloads,
startup sync, stale commands and unsafe decimal parsing on Flint.
Uses independent limits for active items and the 50-item Archive.
Builds for Basalt, Chalk, Diorite, Emery and Flint.
Wrist AI v1.4.1 makes voice interaction faster, adds richer health context, and brings conversational Pebble Timeline management.
What's new
Optional Listen on Launch starts dictation automatically when Wrist AI opens and sends the recognized question directly to the selected LLM.
Health Context now supports 1, 3, or 7 days of steps, activity, distance, calories, heart rate, sleep, and deep-sleep history.
Create, notify, batch-create, and delete local Pebble Timeline events through natural-language conversations. Relative requests such as “remind me in 5 minutes” are supported.
Added experimental Text-to-Speech support for Pebble 2 Duo. Duo TTS is disabled by default and must be enabled explicitly in Config.
TTS hardware output is capped at 60% while the watch menu continues to display the familiar 10%–100% range, reducing high-volume clipping.
Improved Wi logo readability by replacing overly bright filled backgrounds while preserving the orange and purple visual style. Reply and menu pages retain their existing appearance.
Web Search replies no longer include unusable URLs, domain names, source lists, or numbered citations on the watch or in TTS.
Fixed Chinese conversation export encoding.
Fixed iOS Config loading, PKJS packaging compatibility, and stale Config WebView caching.
Compatibility
Supports Basalt, Chalk, Diorite, Emery, and Flint.
Timeline management requires a compatible Core Devices companion app with local Timeline support. Timeline notifications depend on the watch's notification, vibration, and Do Not Disturb settings.
Pebble 2 Duo TTS remains experimental and has not been validated on physical Duo hardware.
Issues found and fixed
Timeline control blocks could be executed without a final user-intent check.Fixed: a model response is no longer execution authority by itself; the original user request must match reminder or scheduling intent.
More than five Timeline actions could be silently truncated.Fixed: the whole request is rejected with a clear maximum-five error.
A Reminder whose notification time had already passed could still be submitted.Fixed: notified events must have a future reminder timestamp.
The local Timeline API has no success callback, but the reply said the event was created.Fixed: the reply now says the event was submitted.
Timeline deletion was unreliable.Fixed: conversational and automatic deletion remain disabled; users are directed to the event details on the watch and Remove.
A malformed or full localStorage could interrupt a generated reply or Config initialization.Fixed: malformed stores fall back safely and write failures no longer break the active response.
Stored conversation and TTS text could be longer than the UTF-8-safe text shown on the watch.Fixed: display, history, reopened replies, export, and TTS now share the same 1800-byte result.
The Config conversation action container was not concatenated into the generated HTML.Fixed and verified in a live browser render.
Config used NodeList.forEach, which is less reliable in older iOS WebViews.Fixed with an ES5-compatible loop.
Flint showed “Long Press Down to TTS” even when experimental Duo TTS was disabled.Fixed: it now directs the user to enable Duo TTS in Config.
Verification completed
PKJS syntax and targeted Timeline/storage/UTF-8 regression tests.
Config JavaScript syntax and live browser initialization with representative query/hash data.
Config rendered models, conversations, Timeline, health range, and Duo controls without console errors.
C/JavaScript message-key consistency check.
Clean Pebble SDK 4.17 build for Basalt, Chalk, Diorite, Emery, and Flint.
PBW archive integrity and required root pebble-js-app.js verification.
GitHub Pages Config source deployed to main.
Accepted release risks
Pebble 2 Duo TTS is conservatively disabled by default and has not been validated on physical Duo hardware.
Pebble.insertTimelinePin() provides no success callback. Wrist AI can confirm submission to the companion app, not final synchronization to the watch.
Timeline vibration is controlled by Pebble OS notification, vibration, and Do Not Disturb settings; it is not a system alarm and cannot guarantee alarm-style vibration duration.
Timeline event removal is manual on the watch.
Physical-watch regression is still recommended for dictation, sleep history, Timeline notification, Emery TTS, and Flint TTS before broad rollout.

Wrist AI v1.3.0 — Release Notes
June 24, 2026
Three major features plus a host of bug fixes and refinements. TTS voice playback is the highlight of this release — it turns your Pebble Time 2 (Emery) into a wrist-mounted narrator that reads AI replies aloud in Chinese or English.
✨ New Features
1. Text-to-Speech (Emery only)
Your AI replies can now be read aloud through the Pebble's built-in speaker. Powered by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech with automatic Chinese/English voice detection per sentence.
How to use:
Action Result
Long-press DOWN on a reply Start reading the current reply aloud
Short-press SELECT during playback Stop reading
Long-press UP → select Volume Enter the volume submenu (10%–100%, step 10%)
Volume controls:
Set via the watch UP menu → Volume — stored locally on the watch, not in the config page
Range 10%–100% in 10% increments
Uses the Pebble system speaker volume (speaker_set_volume) to preserve full audio dynamic range — remains clear and audible even at low volumes
Playback experience:
Expect a 5-6 second delay before audio starts (pre-buffering + sentence pre-encoding) — this ensures smooth, continuous playback once it begins
Supports long replies with continuous playback; internal flow control automatically paces Bluetooth delivery
Speaking rate is adjustable from the config page (0.75Ă— / 1.0Ă— / 1.25Ă— / 1.5Ă—)
⚠️ TTS is Emery-only (Pebble Time 2) — the only Pebble model with a built-in speaker. Requires a Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API Key (enter it in the config page).
2. Health Context
Optionally include your daily step count and active minutes in the AI's context, so the AI understands your activity level.
Off by default — enable in the config page
When enabled, each question automatically includes: "Steps today: 5432, Active minutes: 35"
Legitimate zero values are sent correctly (early morning / sedentary periods still work)
3. Location Context
Optionally include your approximate GPS location (reverse-geocoded to city name) in the AI's context.
Off by default — enable in the config page
When enabled, each question first acquires GPS, then reverse-geocodes to a city name via the free BigDataCloud API
On geolocation failure, automatically falls back to bare coordinates (e.g. "22.52, 113.39") without blocking the question
4. Web Search
Let the AI model search the web before answering, for up-to-date information. OpenRouter mode only.
On by default
Toggle from the config page or the watch menu (Row 2) — both stay in sync
Implementation: injects plugins: [{id: "web"}] into the request body; OpenRouter executes the search server-side → injects context → feeds the model
If a model doesn't support it and errors out, turn this off or switch models
đź“‹ Config Page Additions
Open the config page (long-press UP on the watch → Settings, or in the Rebble app's app settings):
Google TTS API Key — enter your Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API key (visible on Emery only)
Speech Rate — 0.75× / 1.0× / 1.25× / 1.5×, default 1.0×
Web Search toggle
Health Context toggle
Location Context toggle
🔧 Improvements & Fixes
Replies now scroll to the top — when a reply arrives, it starts from the beginning instead of jumping to the bottom
Conversation export Chinese encoding fixed — exported JSON files no longer have garbled Chinese characters
Config page delete fixed — deleting conversations, clearing all, and deleting API keys now work correctly (previously confirm() dialogs were blocked in the PebbleKit WebView)
No more crash when scrolling during TTS playback — scrolling during playback uses non-animated mode with offset bounds protection
TTS audio quality improved — switched from 4-bit ADPCM compression to raw 8-bit PCM, eliminating background noise and hoarseness
TTS smoothness optimized — full sentence pre-encoding + forward-paced delivery + system volume control for continuous long-text playback
Config page conversation list expanded — from 8 to 20 conversations, matching the watch menu
TTS sentence order fixed — multi-sentence playback no longer reads the second sentence before the first
📌 Known Limitations
TTS is Emery-only (hardware constraint: the only Pebble with a speaker)
Under extreme Bluetooth signal weakness, minor word-level pauses may occur during playback
8-bit PCM has mild quantization noise floor (hardware limit, ~50dB SNR)
Web Search works with OpenRouter only (Custom API mode is not supported)
Location accuracy depends on the phone's GPS — indoor positioning may have significant deviation
⬆️ How to Upgrade
Update to v1.3.0 in the Rebble app
Open the config page and enter your Google TTS API key (Emery users only)
Enable Health / Location / Web Search as desired
On a reply page, long-press DOWN to experience voice playback (Emery only)Wrist AI v1.2.0 Release Notes
Added font size settings — choose Normal, Large, or Extra Large text from the config page
Added bold text toggle — make responses bolder for better readability on your wrist
Added "Surprise Me" toggle — disable the long-press DOWN random prompt if you prefer to avoid accidental triggers
Improved Export button readability — darker background, clearer label
