Description

The time as four tower blocks seen from a satellite, each casting the shadow the sun gives it right now, where you are.

The watch works out the sun's position itself from the time and your coordinates. In the morning the shadows fall west, at noon they point north (or south, below the equator), and by evening they stretch east. Winter shadows are long. Summer noon ones are short.

Turn your wrist and the shadows follow the compass, so they keep pointing away from the real sun. The compass wakes for 15 seconds after a flick of the wrist and then switches off. The Pebble 2 has no compass and keeps north at the top.

At dawn and dusk the ground fades between black and grey over about an hour. At night there are no shadows, just white digits on black.

Settings: your phone's location or a fixed place (search by city, or type coordinates), compass on or off, and building height.

White, black and grey on every Pebble, round ones included.
