Changelog

Version 1.5.12026-10-03T20:07:37.686

Weekday letters are sharper at the Large and Small digit sizes, with stray corner pixels removed.

The time band now stays in step with a Quick View banner that reverses mid-slide, instead of jumping.

Version 1.5.02026-10-01T02:42:13.897

Reel Time 1.5.0 lets you choose the colors of the whole face. Pick a background color and a text color, then choose whether the top and bottom rows fade toward the background or match the text. Dark and Light themes get you started in one tap, and any colors you make yourself stay one tap away as Your colors.

The new Style section brings digit size and all colors together with a live preview of your face. If your text would be hard to read on your background, the preview tells you. For an exact color, turn on Type color codes and enter a code like #FF5500. The time on the band still switches between black and white automatically so it is always readable.

The settings page is easier to find your way around. Every section can be opened and closed, and a closed section shows a short summary of its settings, such as "REEL TIME, 1.2 s pause" for the intro. Face layout and Style open with the page, and the rest start closed, so the whole page fits on one screen.

Colors do not affect battery life. If you have never changed them, your face looks exactly as it did before.

Version 1.4.02026-09-30T06:16:59.296

You can now choose how the reel moves. The new Speed setting (Normal, Relaxed or Slow) sets how long each digit takes to roll, for the minute change, the Spin style and the intro. Slower speeds use more battery.

The new Motion setting chooses between Smooth, which starts and stops gently as before, and Steady, which moves at one even pace like a mechanical counter.

The settings page now has a preview that plays a minute change on your own face, so you can try each combination before saving. The intro preview has a Play button too.

The intro's Duration setting is now called Pause, since it sets how long the intro holds before rolling to the time.

Existing settings are unchanged. Speed and Motion start at Normal and Smooth, so the face looks exactly as before until you change them.

Version 1.3.02026-09-28T11:58:19.111

New: Spin animation style
Choose Roll (the default, unchanged) or Spin in Animation style. Spin turns each changing digit a full turn before it lands, with columns that change together starting a moment apart. It draws about twice as many frames, so it uses more battery than Roll. The low battery, disconnected and sleeping options still turn it off.

Redesigned settings page
The page now opens with a live drawing of your watch face, round or rectangular, that updates as you change the layout, band colours, digit size and second time zone. Layouts are quick preset buttons, with per-row choices under Customize each row. Labels are clearer, time zones show city names, the low battery level is a slider, and Restore defaults is next to Save. Your saved settings carry over.

Fix: steps and heart rate split across two rows
If you showed heart rate or steps as two parts (for example 01 for the hundreds and 23 for the last two digits), the two parts could briefly disagree when the minute changed, such as 01 and 98 while your heart rate was 98. Both parts now change together.

Version 1.2.22026-09-27T20:34:43.088

Smoother reel animation. The date, year and other lines no longer jump before the reel rolls. Every line in a column now rolls together, with each new value sliding in from out of view.

When a digit goes from 9 to 0, it now rolls forward one step like every other minute instead of spinning backwards.

Version 1.2.02026-09-27T16:43:10.97

The startup splash can now show the weekday, date or time. Set each splash line to your own text, random digits, the weekday, the date or the time, and see a live preview in settings.

New splash length setting: Quick (1.2 s), Relaxed (2 s) or Long (3 s). Your existing splash text carries over.

Version 1.1.12026-09-19T19:58:57.58

The AM time band is now amber rather than red, with black digits, which is easier to read in daylight. If you have already picked your own AM color, your setting is kept.

Fixed the hourly chime sounding twice in the same hour if you came back to the watch face from an app or a notification.

Pebble Round 2: the face now shows all five reel lines. Previously the top and bottom lines were hidden, leaving blank gaps above and below the reel. Those two outer lines are now partly cut off by the curved edge of the screen, which is how the reel is meant to look.

Version 1.1.02026-09-14T20:17:18.251

The startup splash is now optional. Turn off Show startup splash in settings to go straight to the time when the face loads. Your custom splash lines are kept either way, and the setting takes effect the next time the watch face starts.

Also fixes a case where saving settings could replace custom splash lines with the defaults.
