Description

The old neon tube classic, but even more abstract.

Like my other watchface, Neon IO X Reborn, this is, in essence, a remake of Sam Jerichow's popular Neon IO X. But unlike those two, this one is specifically built for round displays - although it looks quite good on the rectangular Pebbles too.

Like the originals, the numbers are based on 7 segment displays, but without the horizontal middle bar so they can nest into one another. You read the time from the inside out. For a detailed explanation, see Sam Jerichow's original.

Pictured times: 03:27, 08:15, 11:38, 13:37, 23:45
(The images are quite pixelated; I can confirm that at least on Pebble Time 2, the curves look very smooth.)

Since this one is round, the resemblance with the classic 7 segment displays is quite... loose. It definitely helps to be familiar with the original Neon IO X, so consider this to be the "advanced" version.

This watchface has (almost) all the features of my other remake, Neon IO X Reborn. You can freely configure all the colors and spacing options. The only missing feature is the "stretch" option, since the Pebble SDK's draw functions don't neatly allow for oval arches.

By the way, the original already was a great conversation starter - good luck explaining this one to your friends and family!
