Changelog

Version 1.0.22026-09-27T20:52:00.47

The settings page actually opens now.

Version 1.0.1 showed the gear icon in the phone app, but tapping it never opened the menu, so nothing was really configurable in practice. 1.0.2 rebuilds the settings screen on Clay, the framework used by rePebble's own C watchface tutorial, and it opens reliably. All five settings work: top slot, bottom-left slot, bottom-right slot, seconds, and high contrast.

Your step data now sticks around.

Steps, the hourly step graph, and the daily totals were held in memory only. Opening any other app and coming back wiped them, and the same happened whenever you saved a setting, so the numbers vanished and then slowly came back. They now persist to the watch's own storage, so they are already on screen on the very first frame after you switch apps or change a setting. Worst case you lose 60 seconds of steps, and a new day still resets the total at midnight.

Seconds are now smaller than the clock.

They were drawn in the exact same 49px font as the hours and minutes, which made the whole line look enormous. The clock stays large, and the seconds are now slightly smaller and sit on the same baseline.

Also fixed:

- The step graph no longer blanks out when you save a setting.
- The top slot is now correctly labelled "Top left", which is where it has always been drawn.
- Several small robustness fixes to the health readings, so a momentary bad reading from the watch can no longer blank the step count.

Version 1.0.12026-09-26T23:34:34.039

Configurable entirely from the Pebble phone app, no watch menus needed:

- Top slot: Battery, Steps, or Heart Rate
- Bottom-left slot: Heart Rate, Steps, or Battery
- Bottom-right slot: Weather, Calories, or Active minutes
- Optional seconds on the clock
- High contrast mode

Weather is real now. Version 1.0.0 showed a fixed placeholder temperature. Version 1.0.1 fetches actual current conditions from Open-Meteo using your phone's location, caches the last reading so it survives a cold start, and shows -- until the first fetch succeeds. It never invents a value.

Also fixed: every setting now takes effect immediately instead of needing a relaunch, and steps, heart rate, and weather now populate about a second after opening the face instead of up to a minute.

Version 1.0.02026-09-26T19:27:57.25

Garmin Instinct-inspired watchface for Pebble Time 2.

- Real hourly step graph (10 one-hour buckets) built from the watch's own minute-level health history, with blank bars for hours that have no data and true zero-height bars for hours with no steps
- Live heart rate, shown as "--" when there is no reading, never a fabricated value
- Fills the 200x228 display with zero overlapping elements
- Custom 25x25 menu icon so the face appears in the watchface picker
