Released in 2013 exclusively for the Sony PlayStation 3, "The Last of Us" was a surprising title that was not only packed full of action, but had a powerful storyline which pulled at the heartstrings and is considered to be one of the very best in the history of video games, equal to what one would expect in a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster!

Of course, this meant that The Last of Us went on to become highly successful, spawning not just a prequel and "high-definition" re-release ("The Last of Us: Remastered"), but also a Hollywood feature film, which has been greenlit (approved) for production!

A tomboy-ish teenage girl and technically a secondary character, "Ellie" became enormously popular with gamers for her role in the overall story and her charming personality, so much so that she is informally considered a major character and a prequel was produced ("The Last of Us: Left Behind", in the form of downloadable content) that centers exclusively on young Ellie!

The Last of Us/The Last of Us: Remastered is considered my favorite video game of all-time and like many people, I am a big fan of Ellie...
