In this version, the date is changed from mm/dd to abbreviated date and day number, e.g. 'Apr 9'.
This is a quick fix for the issue of not being able to choose American/European date. Whilst I set up a settings page for that, this fix will solve that issue in part, at least for the time being.

The 12 hour clock now displays correctly; the 'AM' or 'PM' does not 'spill over' into the next third of the screen any more because the font size is decreased.
