Beepster 0.21.0 — More reliable voice replies
More reliable voice replies, including protection against duplicate dictation starts and replies going to a different chat. Background updates preserve your selected conversation and scroll position. Includes all prior reactions, full-width photos, GIF previews and YouTube thumbnails.
Requires compatible Connector 0.8.7 or newer for normal messaging. Automatic mark-as-read additionally needs an updated gateway; released Connector 0.8.7 does not include that new feature. The forthcoming Mac App Store Connector is not yet available. Pairing, themes, replies and buttons are retained.
The cumulative candidate received positive physical-watch feedback for dictation; intermittent-crash resolution remains provisional. iMessage message deletion is still disabled. Please report any recurrence with its approximate time.

Beepster 0.20.0 — richer messages and full-width media
Bitmap reactions now appear beneath messages with sender indicators. Photos, GIFs and thumbnails use the full chat width with correct proportions. Large-photo memory fallbacks and preview cancellation fixes improve reliability. Supported GIFs play short, reduced-detail loops; YouTube links can show thumbnail cards. Videos do not play.
Update Organik Apps Pebble Connector to 0.8.7 or newer and choose Beepster → Set up service before updating the watch. Protected Apple Messages attachments have guided permission setup in the Connector. Pairing, themes and saved replies are preserved.
GIF playback is bounded and may fall back to a still; only one attachment per message is supported. iMessage message deletion remains disabled. The final media changes passed 220 automated checks and isolated emulator checks; physical-watch media confirmation is still pending.

Beepster 0.19.0 — larger icons and clearer sender indicators
Sender stripes are twice as wide, from 3 to 6 pixels, with message text width unchanged. Service icons grow from 14 to 18 pixels; chat emoji from 18 to 24; reply emoji from 20 to 26. Text spacing and line heights accommodate the larger artwork. Pairing, themes, custom controls and saved replies are preserved.
Update Organik Apps Pebble Connector to 0.8.2 or newer, choose Beepster → Set up service, then reopen phone settings for larger downloaded emoji replies.
The visual changes were installed and positively tested on the watch. This release is a version-restamped package; 199 automated tests and release build/privacy checks passed.
All prior features remain, including image modes and smaller conversation batches. GIF previews are static; iMessage message deletion remains disabled; optional agent approvals remain physical-button only.

Beepster 0.18.0 — clearer photos and lighter browsing
Natural, High contrast and Original photo modes improve previews without changing source attachments. Smaller 12-conversation batches keep the current list visible during paging, with Notesy-style swipe selection, automatic boundary loading and one-item overlap. Returning from a message preserves your older conversation page.
Readable link labels and an optional Hide links setting. Larger message chunks and prioritized reply-status packets reduce transfer overhead. Initial startup/message loading can still show Loading; navigation briefly pauses while a batch transfers.

Beepster 0.17.0
Smooth finger-following chat scrolling with fixes for cut-off messages, overlapping senders, blank gaps and edge corruption. Swipe right to return to conversations. Tapping messages now focuses them without starting dictation. Button scrolling moves one line.
Default holds: Top quick reply, Middle dictate, Bottom archive/delete with repeat-gesture confirmation. Double Back returns to the top of newest conversations. Short Middle in chat defaults to No action. Shortcuts remain configurable and custom mappings are preserved. More reliable live refresh, including agent chats with approvals.
Hermes/OpenClaw Approve, Deny and supported Always controls remain physical-button only. iMessage message deletion remains disabled; conversation archiving is available.

First tap highlights a different row for reading its scrolling title; tap the highlighted row again to activate. Ordinary message activation starts dictation with confirmation. Swipe scrolling retained.

Fixed false 502 errors after successful actions, prioritized action confirmations, bounded deletion waits, and clarified missing-photo errors. Apple message deletion is temporarily disabled because Beeper cannot reliably verify deletion targets; iMessage conversation archiving still works. Update both the watch app and Mac Connector.
