Description
Officially and historically, Australia Day marks the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip. The meaning and significance of Australia Day has evolved over time however, with it now representing - among other things - Australia's diversity, pride and independence... It is also a popular day for immigrants to officially become Australians, with the Australians of the Year/Young Australians of the Year being recognized for their contribution to Australia. Australia Day is all about being able to put our differences aside, and take pride in our country... So whether you've been in Australia your whole life or you've just joined us, take pride in your country and show the world just how much you love Australia with the 2015 version of my Australia Day watchface - exclusive to Pebble "smart" watches!
